    • Take enough money to fund your stay and to pay for your trip home.  
       
       
    • The crime rate is low, consisting mainly of theft of unattended personal property, pick pocketing and petty crime. Always keep your belongings in a safe place and do not leave them unattended on the beach.  
       
       
    • Beware of strong currents whilst swimming in the sea. Always observe the coloured warning flags.  
       
       
    • Exercise caution when driving. The standard of driving can be erratic and some of the roads in a poor state of repair.  
       
       
    • If involved in a traffic accident, always wait for the police to arrive on the scene. Failure to do so can result in heavy penalties.  
       
    • Do not carry or take illegal drugs. The penalties are severe and will result in a long jail term.  
       
       
    • Do not drink and drive.
